Mythical Creatures: A Field Guide

Every month a new section of the pattern will be revealed, building up a rich and beautiful guide to some of the mythical creatures you are most likely to meet in the wild. This field guide is designed as a companion piece to the Dragons: A Field Guide pattern, and also works great as a standalone piece.

Don’t go for a fabric that’s too dark in case darker thread colours don’t show up. There are several areas of white and cream cross stitching, so ideally you should use fabric that will also show these pale colours well. If you are stitching on paler fabric, you may find these don’t show up well enough. If that is the case, you should easily be able to add backstitch around these areas.
